As one of the creators of Destination Truth , Neil has played a pivotal role in helping to launch the series. He began his professional television career in Detroit, where his first job was as an entertainment reporter for the NBC affiliate WDIV TV-4. From Detroit Neil moved to Los Angeles, where he continued to work as a freelance producer/reporter on projects including ABC News' coverage of the O.J. Simpson criminal trial, and CBS News Investigative Reports. He was a producer at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney where he won an Emmy Award for his efforts. In 2006, Neil wrote, produced, directed and starred in the independent feature film, Last Stop for Paul which was "the most award winning independent film of 2006".
