If the team ever needs help, Rex comes to their rescue. He began working in emergency medical services eighteen years ago, and worked as a firefighter for five years. He has worked as a paramedic in Central California for over twelve years, and holds certification in Swift Water Rescue, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support, and SCUBA. He also has experience in Wilderness Medicine and Survival and has been an EMS educator since 1997, training EMT's and other paramedics. Rex grew up on a horse ranch in California and spent most of his time venturing with his family into the wilderness of National Parks across the United States. Through his experiences in the outdoors, Rex learned, at an early age, the beauty of nature and a respect for its unforgiving dangers.
